Installing an Ink Cartridge on the HP Photosmart All-In-One C7280

Owning an inkjet photo printer is a great way to save money and time by printing pictures and documents at home. One vital skill you must learn in order to use your printer is how to install an ink cartridge properly in your chosen printer. The HP C728 All-in-One Photosmart printer has a very simple installation procedure that will be a breeze to learn. Watching an online video that shows the procedure makes it even simpler!

First you must open your printer to reveal the cartridges, which can be done by lifting up on the printer housing below the scanner deck. You will see a line of cartridges with the black on the left. Open the plastic housing from the bottom and remove the old black cartridge. Do not throw it away, it can be recycled. Remove the new black cartridge from the box and its outer packaging. If there is yellow tape across the bottom, remove that too, then press the new cartridge into place with the HP logo right-side-up and facing you. Be careful not to touch any metal parts on the cartridge. When it is settled, press the housing back down over it. If you have done it right, there will be a soft click noise. Just repeat this procedure down the line for all empty cartridges, then close the printer. It will run for a few moments to charge the cartridges, and then you will be all set to print once again.
